Good, strong coffee, hot pies with cute little pastry symbols of what is inside of them and friendly staff. They can occasionally get overwhelmed by hordes of customers, but in general it is a quiet location, yet only a minute or two to the hub of Blackheath. Their bread and pastries are very nice, and they have vegetarian options. Indoors and outdoors seating is available, as is free water and a selection of local goodies to buy.

Server was curt and wrong-changed me. Still a lovely place and I'll continue to come: the quietest and most picturesque cafe in Blackheath. Politeness goes a long way. As for the coffee: i fail to understand why some reviewers offer opinions in absolute terms, e.g. 'bad' coffee or 'great' coffee. I suggest these individuals consider the many experiments that establish the unreliability of gustatory discrimination, and then proceed to dismount their illusory culinary 'high-horses'. One could argue that such individuals are under-educated and that their reviews be ridiculed. Perhaps Australians should aim to acquire more education and less calories in their indefatigable search for validation through ill-conceived attempts at striving for faux 'expertise' when they reflect on their impoverished understanding of any substantial mode of intellectual or artistic endeavour.

Just around the corner from the main street, this unassuming cafe/bakery was super busy! There waa a huge selection of pies, sausage rolls, sweets & bread. The pies were big & filles generously with selected filling. The hit was steak & guiness & lamb & rosemary. Loved the gluten free chocolate cake & pear frangipane tart which had a really nice short, buttery base. The choc chip oat cookies were so sweet but addictive, perfect with a coffee or tea. Service was fast & friendly and was a great little place to stop.
